My Mission
Why: When I took Elementary Art Education in college, we had to create a multitude of art lesson plans based on a artistic or cultural background. It was very difficult to find artists, their artworks, and the names and description of those works, and on top of that, I would end up visiting many websites if I was stumped on a lesson plan for them.
My Goal: I want to create a quick reference guide to artists, as many of their artworks as I can find, cultural art, and art movements. Then, everything will be in one place, and I'll spend less time searching, and more time learning.
This is a blog not only for my own personal reference, but for the reference of students and teachers. I didn't learn much about Art History until I started college, so I hope that this may be a good way to broaden students' and my own horizons.

About the Artist
I graduated from Winona State university with a double major in Studio Art and Art Education and a Music minor in December 2014. My emphasis was in drawing and ceramics. I was a substitute teacher for about a year after I graduated, and found that I didn't really enjoy working with such large class sizes. Recently, I completed an apprenticeship for a Stained Glass Studio in Minnesota. I worked there as a Master Craftsman teaching in the glass-cutting department. I helped to restore old stained glass windows and build new ones. My ceramics studio is tiny, but I love it very much!
